How to Test a Framer Static Export Before Client Handoff
A practical QA checklist for exporting, staging, and handing off a portable Framer website.

A Framer export is ready for handoff only after it works outside Framer. Export the published site, host it on a staging URL, and test the interactions, fonts, media, and responsive pages that made the original useful.

Make a short test list
Record the homepage, key landing pages, navigation, forms, animations, videos, and mobile layouts. This turns a vague handoff into a finite QA job.
ExFlow for Framer can export a published Framer site as static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, fonts, and media, then provide a ZIP or sync to Git, S3, FTP, or static hosting.

Test on a real host
Do not rely on opening local files. A staging URL exposes missing assets, relative-path errors, font requests, and scripts that behave differently in production. Check each route on desktop and mobile, then test forms and third-party embeds separately.
Package the handoff
Keep the original archive, the staging URL, the deployment destination, and a short note on what was tested. Use Git if the project will keep changing; it gives the next person a clear history.

ExFlow also supports Webflow and Squarespace. For Framer, pay special attention to animation and responsive behavior. Start with the important routes, verify them outside the builder, then deliver a copy the client can actually maintain.
